[Problem] To avoid or mitigate congestion of traffic in MTC communication. [Solution] Provided is a communication system that contains a first communication device provided with: a communication control unit that, into the destination field of a data packet, inserts intermediate node designating information that designates an intermediate node on the path to the destination node of the data packet, the intermediate node being different from the destination node; and a transmission unit that transmits the data packet. The communication system further contains a second communication device provided with: a reception unit that receives a data packet transmitted from a terminal or transmitted to a terminal and having the selfsame device designated in the destination field; a communication control unit that identifies the destination node of the data packet from information contained in a field that differs from the destination field in the data packet, and inserts destination node information that designates the destination node into the destination field; and a transmission unit that transmits the data packet. The second communication device is a candidate for the intermediate node. |
