PURPOSE: A system and method for controlling to board an elevator are provided to track the image of passengers waiting to board, thereby controlling the unnecessary operation of the elevator. CONSTITUTION: A system for controlling to board an elevator includes an image obtaining part (10), an image processing part (20), and an operation recognizing part (30). The image obtaining part obtains the image of a waiting zone in which passengers wait to board. The image processing part processes the image from the image obtaining part, and then recognizes moving objects. The operation recognizing part recognizes the operation of buttons by the objects.
