PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential pressure control valve for a compressor which is capable of reducing pressure losses and has less variation in a valve opening pressure, and to achieve the consistent start and the power reduction at a start or during low-capacity operation of a variable displacement swash plate type compressor having the differential pressure control valve formed of a permanent magnet and a magnetic material.SOLUTION: In a differential pressure control valve 600 for a compressor, a permanent magnet 650 for energizing a valve seat 610 and a disk part 625 of a valve element 620 so as to be brought close to each other by the magnetic attraction is provided on a valve seat 610. The magnetic flux density of a magnetic circuit MC formed on the permanent magnet 650 is substantially saturated when the valve element 620 is seated on the valve seat 610, wherein the magnetic circuit MC includes one of the valve seat 610 and the valve element 620.
