PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of suppressing the occurrence of image distortion without cost increase.SOLUTION: In the image reading device, when manuscript is actually read, an image reading part 1 allows a line sensor 18 to sequentially read a plurality of lines by moving a reading position in a sub-scanning direction in a state where the manuscript has not yet carried to a contact glass 11 for carrying and reading, and based on image data obtained by reading of the line sensor 18, a position in the sub-scanning direction where a white reference plate 27 exists is specified and the specified position in the sub-scanning direction is newly set as an actual position of a reading line. |
