PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical alignment type liquid crystal display device capable of suppressing vertical stripe irregularity or irregularity with oscillating stripes to a low level and achieving favorable display qualities.SOLUTION: A scanning electrode driver 3 selects a scanning electrode to satisfy both of: a first condition that in each group of a first group and a second group of scanning electrodes, scanning groups are sequentially selected starting from an electrode nearer to the scanning electrode in a first row; and a second condition that when a scanning electrode belonging to either the first group or the second group is selected, a scanning electrode belonging to the same group as the above scanning electrode is selected after a single selection period has passed, and a scanning electrode belonging to the other group is selected in the single selection period. |
