PURPOSE: A light emitting diode (LED) illuminating apparatus for a parking lot using an LED lamp and a parking lot illuminating method are provided to achieve a sequential operation without a special communication module. CONSTITUTION: An LED illuminating apparatus for a parking lot includes a plurality of LED lamps (100). The plural LED lamps are disposed on the ceiling of a parking lot (1). Each of the illuminating lamps includes an illuminating unit, an optical sensor unit, a motion sensor unit, and a control unit. The illuminating unit includes an LED and emits illuminating light. The optical sensor unit senses external light. The motion sensor unit senses the motion of an external object. The control unit controls the illuminating unit so as to emit the illuminating light if the brightness of the external light increases or the motion of the external object is sensed. If a preset illuminating time has passed after the illuminating light is emitted from the illuminating unit, the control unit controls the operation of the illuminating unit so as to emit illuminating light having the brightness of lower bounding. |
