PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method thereof are provided to enlarge the size of a display part more, as maintaining the function of the mobile terminal implemented through the front side. CONSTITUTION: A display unit (151) is arranged in the front of a main body. The display unit displays an image related with video call in case of video call event. A sensing unit (140) is mounted in the main body. The sensing unit senses movement of the main body, in response to the video call event. A control unit (180) controls the display unit to convert the display direction of the image, according to the sensing result by the sensing unit.
