<p>A stereoscopic image display and a method for driving the same are disclosed. The stereoscopic image display includes a display element to which data of a left eye image is written during a data scanning time of the left eye image and data of a right eye image is written during a scanning time of the right eye image, an active retarder cell positioned on a display surface of the display element, and shutter glasses including a left eye shutter and a right eye shutter that are electrically controlled and are alternately opened and closed. The active retarder cell converts a polarization characteristic of light from the display element during an active retarder scanning time.</p> |
