<p>Provided are: a method for producing a silver powder, by which a silver powder that has an average particle diameter of 0.3-2.0 mum and a narrow particle size distribution is able to be produced with high productivity at low cost; and a silver powder which is produced by the production method. The present invention is a method for producing a silver powder, wherein a reducing agent solution and a silver solution containing a silver complex are quantitatively and continuously supplied into a channel respectively, and the silver complex is quantitatively and continuously reduced in a reaction liquid that is obtained by mixing the silver solution and the reducing agent solution in the channel. In this method for producing a silver powder, the reaction liquid contains a dispersant and the silver concentration in the reaction liquid is controlled to be within the range of 5-75 g/L.</p>
