An in-vehicle misplacement warning device is provided with a state determination unit for determining the state of a vehicle, and a warning unit for determining whether or not an object was misplaced in the vehicle on the basis of the vehicle state and for issuing a warning when it was determined that an object was misplaced. The state determination unit is provided with a driver exit preparation determination unit for determining whether a driver has completed exit preparations, and an exit completion determination unit for determining whether the driver and a passenger have completed exiting. The warning unit issues a primary warning when the state determination unit determined that an object was misplaced and when the driver exit preparation completion unit determined that the exit preparations are completed. Meanwhile, the warning unit issues a secondary warning after issuing the primary warning and when the exit completion determination unit determined that the drive has exited and that the passenger has not completed exiting. With said warning device, it is possible to issue warnings when the effect of warning is high.
