PURPOSE: A proximity detecting device, a proximity detecting method, and an electronic device are provided to reduce moire stripes due to interference between a panel pixel and the pattern pitch of a transparent electrode for a touch sensor, and to maintain the touch sensor property and inconspicuousness of the transparent electrode. CONSTITUTION: A proximity detecting device includes a display part and a proximity detecting part (8). The display part has a display pixel surface on which pixel electrodes are arranged into a matrix. The proximity detecting part has a transparent electrode for proximity operating detection so that an operating surface is formed at a position in which the display pixel surface is overlapped. A conductive film pattern forming the transparent electrode has a linear pattern pitch below a one-directional arrangement pitch for the pixel electrodes. The conductive film pattern has an electrode pattern part functioning as an electrode and a dummy pattern part not functioning as the electrode. |
