PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive device for a vehicle that is hard to generate vibrations and is light in weight.SOLUTION: A motor drive device for a vehicle includes: an electric motor 3; a speed reducer 4 that reduces a speed of rotation outputted from the electric motor 3; and a differential gear 5 that distributes rotation outputted from the speed reducer 4 between right and left wheels. A rotor 7 of the electric motor 3 includes: a spindle 17 rotatably supported by a first bearing 15 and a second bearing 16; and a rotor core 18 attached to an outer periphery of the spindle 17. The spindle 17 includes: a rotor core attachment part 19 that is hollow cylindrical and has an inner diameter larger than a diameter of a first bearing fitting surface 24 that is cylindrical and to which the first bearing is fitted. A first shaft part 21 is connected to an end plate 20 that blocks an end part on a speed reducer 4 side of the rotor core attachment part 19. |
