PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gripping device that has a larger thickness in an abutting part in a compressing direction to enhance gripping force than ever before.SOLUTION: A gripping device includes a gripping portion 2 for gripping a workpiece 50. The gripping portion 2 continues to a front face 6c which is a portion abutting against the workpiece 50 of a bag member 6a constituting an abutting portion 6, and includes a regulating member 19 for regulating a position of a lateral side 6d which is a portion formed substantially orthogonal to the front face 6c, wherein the regulating member is arranged to support the lateral side 6d of the abutting portion 6 over the whole circumference thereof. The regulating member 19 is formed of an elastic material and is configured to be capable of expansion and contraction in a compressing direction of the abutting portion 6. |
