PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the length of a piston and a wire of a pretensioner to reduce the weight of the pretensioner.SOLUTION: A pretensioner 1 is used in a vehicle seatbelt device to pull a seatbelt. Gas to be supplied from a gas generator 4 into a cylinder 10 allows a piston 20 to move in the cylinder 10. A wire 60 is connected to the piston 20 and the seatbelt. As the piston 20 moves, the seatbelt is pulled. The wire 60 includes both end parts connected to the seatbelt, and a fold-back part 63 connected to the piston 20 by a connection means 51. The connection means 51 includes a connection hole 24 formed in the piston 20 to allow the fold-back part 63 to penetrate, and a stopper member 52 interposed between the fold-back part 63 and the piston 20 to prevent the fold-back part 63 from coming off from the connection hole 24. |
