PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater that makes an advice display for a recommended mode of high energy saving.SOLUTION: A water heater 1 includes a heat pump unit 2 for generatng heat for heating water, a tank unit 32 for accumulating the heat generated by the heat pump unit 2, a hot water supply ECU 30 for controlling operation of the heat pump unit 2 and performs a plurality of operation modes to vary the quantities of heat of the tank unit 32, and a controller 31 which can set execution of any operation mode among the plurality of operation modes. The hot water supply ECU 30 obtains the necessary quantity of heat to be used based upon past use results, determines a recommended operation mode in which the necessary quantity of heat to be used can be secured among the plurality of operation modes with electric power consumptions as a criterion, and makes an advice display for the recommended operation mode to the controller 31. |
