On an administration server (1) which administers a virtual machine system (9) which comprises a plurality of VMMs (91) which control a plurality of VMs (92), a patch scheduling program integrates, upon the same VMM, virtual machines in which a trend relating to prescribed indices of the VM is similar. On the basis of the trend of each VM which is integrated upon the VMM and the migration time involved when each VM migrates to another VMM, the patch scheduling program establishes a migration period for each VM, and schedules the application of a patch upon the VMM in the established period, thereby allowing rapid withdrawal of the VM upon the VMM to the migration destination VMM when an administrator applies a patch upon the VMM.
