The invention relates to electrical engineering and electromechanics. The proposed single-phase electric machine comprises a toothed rotor, a stator comprising a toothed magnetic core with an even number of teeth, a single-phase winding and a multi-pole magnetic system made from a magnetically hard material, which is disposed between the rotor and the magnetic core of the stator and is fastened on the stator and is magnetized in such a way that each tooth of the stator has the same number of alternating opposite poles. Adjacent poles on different teeth of the stator have the same polarity, and the number of teeth of the rotor is half the number of poles on all of the teeth of the stator. In the aforementioned magnetic system the remanence between the adjacent opposite poles thereof has an angular orientation and enables the formation of the poles of the magnetic system. The technical result of the present invention is an increase in the specific capacity of the electric machine and also a reduction in the mass of the active materials.
