The clutch (1) has a pressing plate (3) including a pressing side for releasable-frictional connection with a friction partner and a rear side (17) with a ramp (16). A ramp collar (15) is rotated in a circumferential direction (27) corresponding to the ramp for changing a gap between an operating device and the plate. An adjusting unit gradually wear-dependant changes the gap between the operating device and plate, and is formed so that step size of the adjusting unit is larger than a maximum lift of the plate in an opened state of the clutch. An independent claim is also included for a motor car.
