<p>A channel quality indicator (CQI) processing method, apparatus, and system, relating to the field of communications, implement CQI measurement and feedback of a user equipment (UE) and expand use range of the CQI measurement and feedback of the UE in an application scenario where the UE can only receive a reference signal on partial system frequency bands in a transmission time interval (TTI). The method comprises: a UE measuring, according to a preset measurement gap and in the measurement gap, a reference signal on a specified non-currently resided subband, then calculating a CQI, and feeding back the calculated CQI to a base station. The measurement gap is any specified time period before the CQI is fed back, and the base station does not perform, in the measurement gap, downlink scheduling on a subband the UE currently resides. The subband the UE resides is a dedicated working frequency band selected during initial access of the UE, or a working frequency band that does not need to be specially indicated by the base station and on which the UE receives downlink data by default. Embodiments of the present invention are used for the CQI measurement and feedback in the scenario.</p> |
