The device i.e. water-heater, has a collecting vessel (3) arranged with respect to an apparatus so as to retain leakage water flowing by gravity. The vessel is connected to a leakage water evacuation pipeline (7). A detector (4) for detecting presence of leakage water is connected to an alarm. The detector is connected to an electrovalve (5) placed on a water supply conduit (6). The detector is supplied with power by a battery. The vessel is made of material selected from galvanized steel, steel, fiberglass and plastic.
