PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear suspension structure for a public road traveling commuter, capable of reducing as much as possible the size of a bump steer while actualizing a simple and economical construction adequate for an ultracompact electric commuter such as a two-seated electric city commuter.SOLUTION: The center part of a lateral beam 41a located on the front part of a U-shaped swing arm 41 is connected via an elastic member 48 to a frame 10 tiltably in all surrounding directions. Equal-length link rods 42, 42 are arranged along longitudinal beams 41b, 41b on both sides extending from both ends of the lateral beam 41a of the U-shaped swing beam 41 to the rear side of a vehicle body. The equal-length link rods 42, 42 on both sides are turnably journaled at their front ends to the frame 10 on a center line C of swing motion in the vertical direction of the U-shaped swing arm 41 so as to swing in the vertical direction following the longitudinal beams 41b, 41b on both sides. As a result, a tilting center O of the U-shaped swing arm 41 is located on the swing center line C of the equal-length link rods 42, 42 on both sides. |
