PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print control apparatus in which an appropriate degree of glossiness corresponding to the type of surface effects can be achieved, an image forming system and a program.SOLUTION: A print control apparatus which generates image data comprises generation means which generates image data on the basis of glossiness control version data identifying a type of surface effects to be applied to a recording medium and an area on the recording medium to apply the surface effects thereto, and output means which outputs the image data. The generation means includes a gradation correction section which performs gradation correction different for each type of surface effects on the area to which the surface effects are designated in the glossiness control version data.
