PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste toner conveying unit which efficiently conveys a waste toner to a waste toner storage container without making the waste toner stagnant in a conveying path for collecting and conveying the waste toner discharged from a cleaner of a photosensitive drum and a cleaner of a transfer belt.SOLUTION: A waste toner horizontal conveying path 33 of a waste toner conveying unit 50 includes a waste toner collecting port 57 communicating to a lower side of a drum waste toner vertical conveying path 35 and a belt waste toner vertical conveying path 32 (simply called vertical conveying paths hereafter) and collects a waste tonne naturally falling in the vertical conveying paths. A conveying member 58 disposed inside of the waste toner horizontal conveying path 33 includes a rotary shaft 59 and a crank 61 which are connected alternately, and a fixed spiral fin 62 is provided around an axis of the rotary shaft 59. A vertically sliding member 63 is connected to the crank 61, a tubular spiral body 64 of the vertically sliding member 63 is inserted into the vertical conveying paths in a freely slidable manner and vertically moved while being linked to the rotation of the rotary shaft 59 and the crank 61, and the waste toner deposited to inner walls of the vertical conveying paths is scraped off, thereby preventing waste toner collection from being formed. |
