[Problem] To provide an electrode for a high-capacity non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery. [Solution] An electrode for a non-aqueous electrolyte rechargeable battery of an embodiment of the present invention is a positive electrode: having a positive electrode active material layer, which contains an active material and a fluorine-containing binder, and a current collector that is bound to the positive electrode active material layer. In pyrolysis mass spectrometry at a pyrolysis temperature between T1 and T2 (where T1°C represents the temperature at which pyrolysis of the binding material starts, and T2°C represents the temperature at which pyrolysis ends), a signal exists at any of mass numbers 81, 100, 132 and 200, and, if the mass spectrum signal area in a range from (T1 - 100°C) to less than T1°C is denoted as X, and the mass spectrum signal area in a range from T1 to T2°C is denoted as Y, X and Y satisfy the condition, X <= Y. When the binding material is analyzed by thermogravimetry, the temperature at which pyrolysis of the binding material starts is the temperature at which, in the main weight loss process, there is a 5% loss of weight during the weight loss process. When the binding material is analyzed by thermogravimetry, the temperature at which pyrolysis of the binding material ends is the temperature at which, in the main weight loss process, there is a 95% loss of weight during the weight loss process. The mass spectrum signal area is the signal area from T1 to T2 at the mass number that provides the maximum area among signals selected from mass numbers 81, 100, 132 and 200 in the mass spectrum of the binding material alone. |
