The fuel cell system (100) is provided with: a fuel cell (60); a fuel processor (41) including a reforming part (43) and CO reducing parts (44, 45); a combustor (42); a first air supplier (46); an electric heater (50); a power supplier (200); an electrical outage detector (11); and a controller (10). The controller is configured such that, in an electrical outage state in which the electrical outage detector detects the electrical outage prior to power generation by the fuel cell, at least an increase in the supply of the air for combustion and/or a reduction in the supply of the combustible gas is performed, and moreover the amount of heat produced by the electric heater is reduced, as compared with the power supply state in which an electrical outage has not been detected by the electrical outage detector. |
