PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more surely protect a head drive circuit in a case where a short circuit occurs on a piezoelectric element as an output target of the head drive circuit in an inkjet type image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In a case where a short circuit occurs on an output target of a head drive circuit due to a damage or the like of a piezoelectric element, a short circuit detecting circuit detects the short circuit, and then a current limiting signal is transmitted to a current limiting circuit. Immediately after the current limiting signal is transmitted to the current limiting circuit, the current limiting circuit limits a current flowing in a current amplifying circuit. |
