<p>A digital signal processing unit (17) is provided for a digital camera which has imaging elements (5) containing pixel cells for imaging (30) and a pair of pixel cells for focus detection (31R, 31L). This digital signal processing unit (17) determines whether or not there is a region affected by flaring and/or ghosting in image signals captured by the imaging elements (5). When it has been determined that there is such a region, the signals outputted from all of the pixel cells for focus detection in the captured image signals are corrected by performing signal interpolation on the outputted signals using the signals outputted from the pixel cells for imaging surrounding the pixel cells for focus detection in the captured image signals.</p> |
