PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide structure and a method that avoid a loop on a communication network.SOLUTION: A communication device comprises: a port; a monitoring frame generating unit for generating a monitoring frame transmitted to another communication device to monitor a connection state of a network; a state recording unit for recording the port state of the port; a frame processing unit for processing the frame on the basis of the port state recorded in the state recording unit; and a state control unit for setting a stop state as the port state to the port in the state recording unit according to a period when the monitoring frame is not generated. The frame processing unit discards a frame received via a port to which the stop state is set in the state recording unit. |
