PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeding apparatus capable of preventing a positional shift in a state where a paper feed cassette of an upper stage is set in a paper feeding position.SOLUTION: A second paper feed cassette 30 includes a pair of locking pieces 31, which have an upward hook-like shape or the like and are provided to protrude forward, at the leading end of a bottom plate (placing part) 30a on the leading end side (downstream side in a feeding direction of paper P1) of the cassette 30. When the second paper feed cassette 30 is pushed into the paper feeding position, the locking pieces 31 are respectively engaged with a pair of positioning holes 8b formed projectedly in the main tilt separation plate 8 of a first paper feed cassette 3, and thereby, the second paper feed cassette 30 is prevented from being shifted horizontally and vertically, and also, the underside recess 31a of each locking piece 31 is locked on the lower edge of each positioning hole 8b to maintain a state where the second paper feed cassette 30 is pushed into the paper feeding position. |
