PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-operated umbrella opened or closed under an operation of a motor with a reduced load against the rotation of the motor, and made light and handled even with a hand.SOLUTION: A changeover switch is arranged between a battery cell and a motor which are installed at a space inside of a handle of an umbrella. A middle shaft of the umbrella is divided into an upper middle shaft 2 and a lower middle shaft, a planetary gear mechanism consists of a central sun gear, planetary gears 12 around the sun gear and an internal gear 17 outside the planetary gears is arranged at the divided position, a lower end 24b of a driving shaft 24 inside the lower middle shaft is connected to a motor rotating axle through a thrust bearing fixed to an upper part of the handle for transmitting a rotation of the motor, an upper end 24a of the driving shaft is fixed to the sun gear. The internal gear 17 is fixed to an outer cylinder 19, cylindrical male thread 25 covering the lower middle shaft is fitted with a lower part of the outer cylinder, and an inner peripheral surface of the supporting rib holder 8 is formed with a cylindrical female thread 26 corresponding to the cylindrical male thread 25. A thread cover pipe 27 covering entire of the cylindrical male thread 25 is fitted with a lower part of the supporting rib holder 8. |
