PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a personal authentication device which can accurately execute authentication processing of a target person.SOLUTION: A personal authentication device comprises: an output unit which outputs a transient signal; an input unit which can input the transient signal output from the output unit; a case body which has each of the output unit and the input unit on any of side faces; and a control unit which performs authentication of a target person holding the case body on the basis of output/input relation between the transient signal output from the output unit and the transient signal input to the input unit. The control unit reports the contact way of the case body before registering the output/input relation. |
