<p>The invention relates to an irradiated composite based on thermosetting resins and hemp fibres meant to be employed in manufacturing finished parts, with applications in the automobile and machine building industry. According to the invention, the composite is obtained by 2 kGy-dose irradiation of a structure consisting of 5 layers of hemp unidirectional woven fabric with bulk reinforcements of functionalized bast fibres, having an average fibre length of 3...6 mm, reinforced with thermosetting resin, having a density of 1.14 g/cm, a stretch stress of 86 MPa and a stretch elasticity module 3200 MPa.</p> |
