The system (10) has a fuel cell stack (12) comprising fuel cells impinged with fuel and oxidant as operation medium. Pre-treatment devices (14, 16) are formed for tempering and/or moistening of the operation medium. The pre-treatment devices and the fuel cell stack are enclosed by a common housing (18). An interstice between the pre-treatment devices and the fuel cell stack is formed as a flow channel (26). The flow channel is limited in sections by the pre-treatment devices and the fuel cell stack. The flow channel is limited at a side by a wall (22) of the housing.
