The pump has an elastic sealing ring (1) arranged between an overrun chamber (12) and a guide band (8) in a stepped bore (10) of a pump housing (7) for sealing of a pump piston (6) in a direction of a pump drive chamber (13), which is arranged in the pump housing. The ring includes a groove (3) between inner and outer circumferences. A spring (2) is inserted in the groove, and expands the ring radially in a direction of the piston and in a direction of the pump housing. A radial expansion of the ring in the direction of the pump housing is designed smaller than in the direction of the piston.
