The method involves providing a liquid fuel with pressure to a high pressure pump (22) and pressurized liquid fuel in a piping system (24). A petrol injector (28) is injected into a combustion chamber (30) in which an actual pressure in the piping system is controlled over a pressure control (26) by default of a target pressure. A separate gas injector (32) is provided to inject a gaseous fuel in which the desired pressure is adjusted when switching fade time between fuel positions. An operation is performed with both fuels till the actual pressure corresponds to the adjusted target pressure. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement for operating a combustion engine.
