The device has a front wind deflector (4) and a rear wind deflector (5) swingably supported at a roof-side over lateral wind deflector arms (6, 11), and adjustable by an adjustment device between a lowered rest position and a swung-out operational position. The adjustment device comprises a control unit providing a control intervention between a control slide (15) and the wind deflector arms. The control unit forcibly displaces the wind deflector arms in a swinging out direction and in a swinging direction in different swivel positions depending on the movement of control slide.
