PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas generating material generating a large amount of a gas per unit time period.SOLUTION: A gas generating material 11a includes an acrylic copolymer, a gas generating agent, and a photosensitizer. The acrylic copolymer has a solubility parameter (SP value) in the range of 8.5 to 10. The acrylic copolymer includes a (meth)acrylic acid ester and an unsaturated carboxylic acid as monomer units.
