摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suggest a constitution which prevents a pipe in a piping system of a nuclear power plant from reducing in its wall thickness caused by atomization of liquid drops, as improvement of such the piping system embodied by the conventional technique in which an orifice is installed in order to restrict the flow velocity in the pipe within a proper range, where a liquid film is easier formed on the pipe wall when the moisture increases in the pipe, and a liquid film eventually present upstream of the orifice is likely to flow to the orifice owing to a vapor stream to turn into liquid drops, which sputter and bombard the wall surface of a bent pipe to result in a reduction of its wall thickness.SOLUTION: An impulse wave generated on a pipe section is made over the inside diameter of an orifice by installing a divergent nozzle downstream of the orifice, and liquid drops torn off at the orifice end from a liquid film by a high-velocity vapor stream and generated much at the orifice end are bombarded to the impulse wave so as to be atomized.
