PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restart stable natural circulation operation, even if the natural circulation operation stops.SOLUTION: An air conditioner includes an evaporator 7, a condenser 3 installed at a higher position than the evaporator, a liquid-side connecting pipe 5 and gas-side connecting pipe 8 that connect the evaporator and the condenser, a valve device 6 disposed upstream of the evaporator, an evaporator fan 51 to supply air to the evaporator, and a condenser fan 50 to supply air to the condenser, and performs a refrigeration cycle operation by natural circulation. When the natural circulation operation stops during cooling operation using natural circulation, the controller 70 fully closes the valve device disposed upstream of the evaporator, increases a liquid refrigerant in the liquid-side connecting pipe and a gas refrigerant in the gas-side connecting pipe by accelerating the evaporator fan and condenser fan, and then opens the valve device disposed upstream of the evaporator to restart the natural circulation operation. |
