PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the aging treatment method of water granulated slag which, when the water granulated slag is produced from waste molten slag, thoroughly hydrates free CaO mixing in the water granulated slag to convert it into harmless Ca(OH), shortens aging treatment period, reliably performs water content control during aging, and can sufficiently reduce free CaO.SOLUTION: The aging treatment method of water granulated slag ground after cooling and solidifying molten slag discharged from a melting furnace by contact with granulation water includes: a water sprinkling step of sprinkling with water a water granulated slag deposit formed by depositing the water granulated slag; a coating step of coating the sprinkled water granulated slag deposit with a water impervious coating material; and a leaving step of leaving the coated water granulated slag deposit for a predetermined period. |
