The cleaning appliance comprises a separating apparatus for separating dirt from a dirt- bearing fluid flow, and a floor-engaging rolling assembly comprising a main body and a pair of floor-engaging wheels. The most rearward point of the separating apparatus is arranged in line with or rearward of the centre point of the wheels.
