A data management system that is enabled such that the user can select a data source node, a repository and a data path, choose policies for each and distribute the policies to be managed by the management system. The data management system uses a command module that contains a graphical user interface that is enabled to allow one to graphically identify at least one data source, at least one storage device, a data path between the data source and the repository, and graphically establish the polices for the data. |
