The present invention provides a sodium-sulfur secondary battery comprising a cathode container for containing a cathode active material including sulfur; an anode container for containing an anode active material including sodium; an electrolyte tube installed between the cathode container and the anode container and selectively transferring only sodium ions; an insulator for insulating the cathode container and the anode container between the cathode container and the anode container; and a buffering member inserted and installed between the cathode active material and the cathode container inside the cathode container to absorb stress induced by a difference in shrinkage rates between the cathode container and the cathode active material so as to mitigate stress induced by heat cycle during the operation of the battery and to minimize damage to the battery. |
