PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink supply device that suctions ink from an ink bottle using supply passages of different lengths and separate pumps, and supplies the ink to different positions, in which the work to fill the supply passages with ink and supply the ink from the pumps when the supply passages are empty is smoothly performed.SOLUTION: When introducing ink 7 to empty supply passages 5 and 6 filled with air from an ink tank 3, only a pump 2 of the longer supply passage 6 is driven first so that the ink is caused to reach the pump 2 first and is supplied. Then in a state that the pump 2 is stopped, the ink is caused to reach a pump 1 of the shorter supply passage 5 and be supplied. An event does not occur that a negative pressure is generated in the longer supply passage by the suction force of the pump of the shorter supply passage filled with the ink, and the pump of the longer supply passage cannot supply the ink. |
