The device (100) has a connecting structure (110) connected to an end of a columnar component (102) with a hollow profile. A junction structure (120) is connected to the connecting structure and comprising an opening (122) for providing an electrical or fluid junction for an external plug and another opening (124) for routing a line e.g. pipe, from the electrical or fluid junction into the columnar component. The connecting structure comprises a plate with a side lying in a plane, and the junction structure is connected at an edge of the plate and arranged entirely on the side of the plane.
