A method for assessing the quality (µ seq ) of a video stream provided from a server to a client in a client/centric delivery architecture, comprises the steps of monitoring successive requests for successive video portions from the client to the server, deriving from the successive requested bitrates extracted from the successive monitored requests a set of successive chunk quality values (µ k ) associated to said successive video portions during a predetermined timing interval (1,...,K), and to further calculate from said successive chunk quality values (µ k ) during said timing interval (1,...,K) a final video quality score (µ seq )value. |
