PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate positioning of a separation plate without damaging a fixing member by the separation plate.SOLUTION: A tip member 61 is arranged at a tip of a fixing separation plate 43 for separating a sheet 11 from a fixing roller 34, to swingably support the fixing separation plate 43 at a fulcrum 63. The tip member 61 is formed of a porous material. Air is supplied so that the tip member 61 separates from the fixing member. A nozzle part 64 is arranged for jetting air to press a tip 43a of the fixing separation plate 43 against the fixing roller 34. Pressure adjusting means 66 adjusts a flow rate of air to be supplied to the tip member 61 and the nozzle part 64, to adjust a gap between the fixing separation plate 43 and the fixing roller 34.
