PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable detection of even a small amount of rope slip.SOLUTION: A traction type elevator system comprises: a motor for elevating and descending an elevator car in a hoist way; a rotating detector for outputting signals according to rotation of the motor; floor plates set to height of each floor in the hoist way; a floor plate detector, installed in the elevator car, for detecting the floor plate of each floor; and a control device that calculates floor height data on the basis of signals outputted until a floor plate of a predetermined floor is detected from a predetermined reference position, calculates difference between the reference-floor height data as a reference and the floor height data calculated, and changes control for the elevator car on the basis of the result of comparison between the difference and a predetermined determination value. |
