PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear part sound insulation structure of an automobile capable of suppressing intrusion of outside-vehicle noise without adding a shield plate and pressing a cabin space.SOLUTION: A rear part sound insulation structure of an automobile includes retractor front side and rear side recesses 93 and 94, which are extended along a vehicle inside surface of an inner panel 8B of a rear pillar 8 in shapes recessed to the vehicle width direction outside in relation to a general surface 92 on an upper side of a seat back of a rear pillar trim 9 on vehicle front and rear sides from a position closer to front and rear surfaces of a retractor 23. Seal materials 34 and 35 are extended along the retractor front side and rear side recesses 93 and 94 between the retractor front side and rear side recesses 93 and 94 and the vehicle inside surface, thereby forming a shield section 50 to suppress intrusion of noise into a space formed between the vehicle inside surface and the rear pillar trim 9 by the retractor 23, the retractor front side and rear side recesses 93 and 94 and the seal members 34 and 35. |
