PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club head for keeping ball shooting accuracy while improving repulsive force at a face portion when a golf ball is shot.SOLUTION: A groove 200 extending in a toe-heel direction is formed on the side of a face portion 120 in a sole portion 140, and an elastic member 210 is embedded in the groove 200. The elastic member 210 is molded by using a material with an elastic modulus smaller than that of the outer shell of a head 100, and fastened by screwing in a direction from the sole portion 140 to a crown portion 110. When a golf ball is shot by the head 100 configured in this way causes the face portion 120 to bend by the groove 200, to thereby improve repulsive force in the face portion 120. Besides, the elastic member 210 is embedded in the groove 200, so that a foreign matter such as lawn is restricted from being caught by the groove 200 in making a swing. |
